Things to improve and encourage young people to get involved in theatre:
• Theatre companies advertising in schools and on TV/internet/youtube.
• Make organizations easier to access.
• Encourage younger children
• Get young people more involved
• ADVERTISE! – show them what you are all about not just handing out leaflets.
• Get all cultures involved
• Show there is more than just naturalism (kneehigh…)
• More advertisement for schemes (14-26 free tickets – One Night Only)
• Encourage theatre enthusiasts to spread the word themselves to non theatre goers.
• Encourage people to go to smaller theatres, not just the Hippodrome… so they can get a wider theatre experience.
• Advertise the theatre as a whole, not just acting – lighting, design…
